P. Warner Instrument Company of Beloit, Wisconsin, announced that it would spend its advertising dollars to publicize aviation, and printed as its first insertion a scene from the aerial meet at Los Angeles. Warner Instruments’ advertisements continued for several subsequent issues, ensuring that the Warner Auto Meter and Warner Aero Meter came to the attention of flying enthusiasts.

The first printed membership list for the Aero Club of America dating from 1907 is most helpful. It lists 240 active members and five honorary members. Among the honorary members were Lt. S.
